Description

Urader belongs to a class of drug known as alpha-blockers which is a highly the selective, peripherally acting antagonist of postsynaptic alpha-1-adrenoceptors which are located in the prostate, bladder base, bladder neck, and prostatic urethra. The blockade of these adrenoreceptors can cause smooth muscle in the bladder neck and prostate to relax, resulting in an improvement in urine flow and a reduction in symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).
