Quality Control Department (QCD) is responsible for the study of raw and packing materials as well as intermediate, bulk and finished products. All unprocessed materials must undergo the QC testing before they aredirected to production. All analytical tests carried out in the laboratory are as per written instructions and analysis protocols, which are derived mainly from official pharmacopoeias, various references or it is developed in-house and validated. The materials are assessed as per the in-house specifications, which are more stringent than in most pharmacopoeias.
Thisdepartment is concerned with sampling, specifications, testing, and with the organization, documentation and release procedures. These ensure the necessary and relevant tests are carried out and that materials are not released for use nor for sale or supply until their quality has been sanctioned satisfactory.
